Painting Love Letters to the Future

Dear Volunteers,

     We appreciate you being a part of our ArtsWaves family, supporting the child in all of us, and helping our communities to paint and prepare for our best dreams coming true!

     A child discovering the magic of inner peace, group peace, and world peace by painting Peace Flags and Blessing Banners is a child embracing their innate harmony, creativity, and the power of kindness. While learning to think like an artist, draw a powerful line, and use colors to harmonize and uplift, they are guided to reflect on the best worlds they can imagine. They develop skills in self-care, mindfulness of self and others, and good boundaries to help them focus energy, feel the inner joy of intentional creativity, and mature into good people who prefer collaboration over conflict. 

     As a volunteer, you are helping today’s youth become the leaders of tomorrow. You are shaping educational experiences, sharing your heart, and offering new skills that encourage the soul in every child and amplify their feelings of wholeness. You are demonstrating what we know from quantum physics about the "ripple effect" --  how our thoughts, feelings, imaginings, pictures, words, and especially Peace Flags are shaping the future. 

     By offering creative solutions to many educational, social, environmental, and economic problems, we help our students overcome the fear many feel today.  Anchoring a sense of safety as well as creative agency through mindful art education, children can think more clearly and cope more effectively with climate disruptions, extreme weather, and the stresses of global issues like war, violence, and the cognitive perils of artificial intelligence.

  Do we want to live in peace by raising children who feel, envision, and spread peace by creating Peace Flags -- or do we choose war? In the 1960s, U.S. President John F. Kennedy said that either we will get rid of war, or war will get rid of us. ArtWavEs is getting rid of the war impulse by teaching youth to literally create peace by creating peace flags.

     Our ArtWavEs vision is being realized through your vision. We recognize that many open-hearted dreamers and light weavers like you have carried the vision of peace on Earth for a long time, and you are  ready to BE the PEACE by helping children BE the PEACE, one beautiful dream painting at a time.

Pacific ArtWavEs reserves the right to use photographs taken during workshops, classes and events for publicity and media purposes. If you do not want yourself included in these photographs it is your responsibility to notify the organization of this request prior to each photo opportunity.
